I joined CRAG as a Marie Curie Research Fellow in May 2007. After completing my PhD in Medical Sciences, I had Post- doctoral research training in demography at theInternational Max Planck Research School for Demography, Laboratory of Survival and Longevity. Prior to my PhD studies I taught Sociology at undergraduate level (University of Craiova & Hyperion University, Bucharest ).
Research:
My current research interests focus on the impact of quality of sleep on (subsequent) ill-health, ageing issues, and gender differences in health status. As part of the Marie Curie Sleep Project, I am conducting secondary analysis on existing large-scale representative surveys on sleep, to better understand how sleep quality is related to health, psychological well-being and socio-economic status.
